Feathers
Decorative feathers are usually bought for a specific occasion — a ball, a photo shoot, a performance or a carnival costume. We stock them in several forms and many colours, by the piece and in bunches.
Types of feathers
Single feathers — longer and shorter, in natural and dyed colours. Used in arrangements, hats, headbands and table decorations.
Feather trim on tape is sewn onto a tape and sold by the metre. It is the most convenient option for finishing a dress hem, sleeves or the edge of a bolero — the tape is simply stitched on like binding.
Boas and bunches — ready-made boas for costumes and photo shoots, plus bunches of feathers for your own floral and decorative arrangements.

What they are used for
- Carnival and theatre costumes — outfits, headpieces.
- Occasion decorations — balls, weddings, photo shoots.
- Millinery — hats, fascinators, headbands.
- Floristry — decorative bouquets and arrangements.
How to choose
- For clothing choose feather trim on tape. Sewing on individual feathers is laborious and less durable.
- Check the colour is consistent. Dyed feathers can vary in shade between bunches.
- Allow extra length. When finishing a dress hem, add at least 15%.
- Feathers do not survive washing. Spot-clean feathered garments or use a dry cleaner.
